We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Learning Resources Manager at PROVEN.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting learning across the school by developing and implementing effective strategies for acquiring, organizing, and managing library resources.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire and maintain a comprehensive collection of library resources.
  • Utilize library software to manage inventory and ensure accurate cataloging and classification of materials.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan inquiry units and source relevant books and other educational resources.
  • Support literacy learning by working together with teachers and students to source resources that promote engagement and a love of reading.
  • Create engaging spaces that foster interest in the library and encourage community participation.
  • Establish partnerships with external organizations, such as the National Library of Singapore, to borrow and return books.
  • Manage library budgets and resources to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with departmental academic staff, external organizations, and suppliers to facilitate collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Plan programs for different audiences, including storytelling for young children and support for independent research and learning.
  • Assist readers in using computer equipment, conducting literature searches, and accessing online resources.
  • Liaise with other Middleton and EtonHouse staff to facilitate collaboration and promote a culture of teamwork.
  • Organize library events and promote a love for reading across the school.
  • Lead an Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) and participate actively in a professional learning committee.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Principal.
