Inventory Management Specialist vacancy

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Want More. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control, including purchasing, stocking, and tracking of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement inventory management procedures and policies to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
  2. Monitor inventory levels and make necessary adjustments to ensure that inventory is accurately tracked and recorded
  3. Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and upcoming promotions or events to minimize stockouts and overstocking
  4. Oversee the purchase of new products and supplies, negotiating with vendors for best prices and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness
  5. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy
  6. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes and implement changes to optimize efficiency
  7. Train and supervise staff members involved in inventory control activities to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
  3. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, as well as strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software programs, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
  5. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with different departments within the company, including sales, marketing, and operations
