Job Summary

MBR Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Operations Director to oversee the operations of a state-of-the-art data center facility in a leading client's organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data center operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the organization's mission-critical systems, including monitoring and analyzing system performance metrics and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to data center operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Establish and track against OKRs, KPIs, SLAs, and metrics, including performance, capacity, availability, and budget.
  • Establish critical business continuity plans, including design and implementation of disaster preparedness, detailed project management, and logistics coordination.
  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels.
  • Own implement and drive efficiency across all sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, preferably with data center operation and management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data center facilities, such as UPS, cooling, and power supply.
  • Good project management and vendor/contractor management skills on new projects, facilities replacement, and upgrading.
  • Demonstrated track record of data center/infrastructure operations management and maintenance or similar; leadership and cross-functional management experience.
  • Experienced in leading and operating in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in growth and transformation of business.
