We are looking for a highly skilled Physical Therapy Support Staff to join our dynamic team at Vaia GmbH. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and support services.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure department upkeep, including preparation of treatment areas and submission of work orders.
- Maintain equipment and assist with assembly/disassembly as needed.
- Track inventory and stock supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Videotape therapy sessions to aid in patient progress monitoring.
- Transport patients to/from therapy sessions, promoting independence and mobility.
- Update patient treatment lists on Excel/Word, ensuring accurate records and communication.
- Supervise patients during breaks, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision, including casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, and assistance with groups.
- Coordinate care between disciplines, providers, and family members, fostering effective communication.
- Patient scheduling and coordination, ensuring timely appointments and follow-ups.
- Pool chemical checks and balancing, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Documentation within the patient's electronic medical record, as needed, to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients served, regardless of age.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a rehab setting, preferably with children who are medically fragile or have disabilities.
- Strong customer service skills and experience working with all levels within an organization required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required.
