Job Description - Transactional Business Finance Sr. Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Business Finance Sr. Leader to join our team at Schneider Electric Gruppe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-level business acumen on transactional business, as well as co-designing and monitoring the quarterly, yearly, and strategic roadmap to ensure profitable growth and target achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-level business acumen on transactional business.
  • Co-design and monitor with the business the quarterly, yearly, and strategic roadmap to ensure profitable growth and target achievement.
  • Monitor channel coverage, distribution, optimized allocation of resources, financial performance/profitability (e.g., product/sales region).
  • Challenge/support commercial and marketing strategy, including AMSP and strategic initiatives to capture profitable growth.
  • Monitor action plans and understand changes in the environment, root cause of performance issues/deviation with the roadmap, risks, and opportunities.
  • Decide corrective or compensation actions with the business, channel, regions, support go/no-go decisions on specific actions/opportunities to reach priorities and targets.
  • Monitor pricing performance and support business teams to take the right actions.

Business Performance Analysis and Collaboration

  • Contribute to closing activities with the performance team to ensure true and fair P&L reporting.
  • Help the business understand commercial performance across different business models.
  • Performance follow-up (toplines, profitability, etc.) in line with different dimensions of customers, channels, offers.
  • Liaise with other finance sub-functions – credit, treasury, internal/external audit, accounting, GSC finance, etc.

Transformation and Other Key Areas

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, pricing), effectively communicate financial insights, and foster a culture of financial transparency and accountability.
  • Participate in global or zone initiatives and take full ownership as well as leadership for assignments, if any.
  • Be a team player with a commercial mindset, dynamic, proactive, collaborative, curious, and open-minded.
  • Have a digital mindset with a focus on standardization/automation/simplification.

Governance

  • Ensure business compliance and ethics and support business in risk detection and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration or equivalent.
  • English and Arabic language proficiency.
  • 5 years of experience in business partnering, FP&A, finance controlling, and audit from reputable MNCs or Big 4.
  • Good business acumen on transactional business.
  • Strong stakeholders' management, organizational, and communication skills.
