Job Summary

The Drilling Operations Supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment and personnel. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to supervise and provide guidance to work crews.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Safety: Ensure the safe operation of drilling equipment and personnel, complying with federal, state, and territory health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  2. Supervision and Guidance: Supervise and provide expectations, goals, and training for work crew personnel regarding rigging up or rigging down, day-to-day operations, and company policies and procedures.
  3. Drilling Operations: Operate rig and systems from control panel to maximize drilling and tripping efficiency; supervise operations on the rig floor.
  4. Well Control Practices: Monitor and ensure proper well control practices are followed as per H&P operating procedure.
  5. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit drilling operations reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant H&P policies and local, territory, state, and federal statutory obligations.
Requirements
  1. Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to effectively work in indigenous environments.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Totco/Pason and IADC report.
  3. Education and Experience: Completion of a high school or GED equivalent, 6 years of drilling experience, and 3+ years of rig drilling experience.
  4. Certifications: H2S and respiratory fit, Stuck pipe training, Well Control, First-Aid, and CPR.
  5. Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic.
