We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Procurement Advisor to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our Delivery Teams, you will be responsible for delivering superior results to our clients based on the scope of the assignment.
You will be assigned to the Procurement category/work stream and collaborate with other SGS resources to identify and analyze issues/inefficiencies and develop a roadmap for improved procurement processes during Phase I (Analysis) and/or Phase 2 (Engagement).
You will engage with the client and your SGS team to implement appropriate solutions that result in quantifiable cost savings, improved sourcing capabilities, and strategic procurement processes for assigned clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide timely delivery against detailed study/work stream plans meeting milestones and delivery outcomes.
- Engage clients to develop tools and processes to transfer knowledge and transform strategic procurement capabilities.
- Develop category strategies to achieve the proposed results, which may include market analysis, supplier analysis, total cost analysis, and needs analysis.
- Support execution of strategy by qualifying supplier participants, gathering detailed customer needs, and executing RFXs.
- Understand and analyze existing client procurement spend, processes, strategies, and results.
- Establish and build effective working relationships with key client stakeholders and be a trusted advisor to the client.
- Identify and escalate add-on sales opportunities.
