Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Polymer Plant Equipment Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing equipment modifications and improvements to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of polymer plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues in a timely manner.
  4. Provide technical expertise and support for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning projects.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for polymer plant equipment.
  6. Train and mentor junior engineering staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of polymer plant equipment.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. At least 15 years of engineering experience in asset reliability and maintenance.
  3. Recognized technical/engineering expert on design, maintenance, and operation of rotating equipment specific to polymer and petrochemical plants.
  4. Experience related to design/engineering or service/technical support with a major pump OEM is preferred.
  5. Possesses a thorough knowledge of general principles and theories related to engineering and contributes significantly to the solution of a variety of unique and complex engineering problems.
  6. Experience of people management and ability to use influence to achieve results.
  7. Flexible and able to re-prioritize tasks based on changing business needs.
  8. Desire and ability to self-teach new software programs or systems.
  9. Excellent communication skills both interpersonal and presentation skills to all levels including executive management.
  10. Above average proficiency in English language (written and spoken).
  11. Proficient in MS Office applications (with advanced knowledge of MS Excel).
  12. Experience within the Gulf States would be advantageous.
