Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Dentistry Academy, aligning with the institution's mission and goals.
  • Academic Excellence: Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in dental education, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based programs.
  • Administrative Management: Manage and lead the academy's administrative team, including academic coordinators, staff, and support personnel, ensuring effective resource allocation and budget management.
  • Faculty Development: Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and highly qualified faculty, promoting research and scholarship in the field of dentistry.

  • Quality Assurance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with national and international accreditation standards, leading the academy through accreditation processes and maintaining accreditation status.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to the institution's leadership and governing body, communicating the academy's achievements and challenges to stakeholders and the broader community.
Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in Dentistry (DDS or DMD) is required, and additional qualifications such as a Master's or PhD in dental education, administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in dental education, including a track record of academic leadership.
  • Strong administrative and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience and knowledge of the UAE's healthcare and educational regulations and policies is an advantage.
