About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead our infrastructure development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide overall leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Program Management: Develop and implement project plans, including defining project goals, objectives, and scope, as well as developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  3. Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met, and that they are kept informed of project progress and any issues that may arise.
  4. Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and other support staff, to ensure that they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to deliver projects successfully.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects are delivered to the required quality standards, including conducting regular site visits, reviewing project documentation, and implementing quality control measures as necessary.
  6. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects, including developing and implementing risk management plans and ensuring that project teams are aware of and understand their roles and responsibilities in managing risks.
  7. Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, including providing regular project updates, progress reports, and other information as required.
  8. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project-related problems and issues, including developing and implementing solutions, and ensuring that project teams are aware of and understand their roles and responsibilities in resolving problems.

Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in project management, including experience in leading and managing large-scale infrastructure development projects.
  3. Skills: Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, including experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, as well as experience in team management, client management, and quality assurance.
  4. Certifications: Chartered Engineer status, PMP/ChPP certification, or equivalent.

  1. Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in developing and maintaining effective communication channels with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  2. Leadership: Proven leadership skills, including experience in leading and managing project teams, and developing and implementing project plans.
