Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's health and safety programs to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies
Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.
Ensure Compliance with RegulationsEnsure that all employees are aware of and comply with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary documentation is maintained.
Conduct Risk Assessments and InspectionsConduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
Investigate Incidents and AccidentsInvestigate all incidents and accidents, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Provide Training and GuidanceProvide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, and ensure that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
Maintain Accurate DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to health and safety, including incident reports, risk assessments, and training records.
Stay Updated with Industry Best PracticesStay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement to our health and safety programs.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of experience in health and safety management.
Knowledge and SkillsProven knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).
Language and Cultural CompetenceFluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic is required, and experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus.
