  • Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes amicably, engaging in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all claims, correspondence, and relevant documentation, ensuring the organization's position is well-documented and supported.
  • Legal Support: Collaborate with legal counsel to assess legal implications of claims and disputes, providing necessary documentation and information to support legal proceedings when required.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential claims and disputes, providing guidance to project teams to minimize risks associated with claims.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and contractors regarding claims, disputes, and other contractual matters, providing regular updates to senior management on the status of claims & risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze trends in claims and disputes to identify areas for process improvement, developing and implementing best practices for claims avoidance and resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 + years of experience in contracts and claims management with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity within the energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, claims management processes, and dispute resolution methods.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments.
  • Legal background or familiarity with legal processes is an advantage.
