About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations of our landing gear systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement and Enforce Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement approved policies and procedures to ensure work is carried out in a controlled manner, adhering to established standards and procedures.

Day-to-Day Operations Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the landing gear maintenance team, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.

Maintenance Program Development

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for our landing gear systems, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Team Leadership and Guidance

Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Quality Control and Assurance

Develop and implement quality control measures, including inspection protocols and testing procedures, to verify the integrity and airworthiness of our landing gear systems.

Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry partners to maintain compliance with all relevant safety and airworthiness regulations.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Operations on the performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives related to the landing gear maintenance operations.

Communication and Collaboration

Communicate effectively with the maintenance team, engineers, and other relevant personnel to ensure smooth coordination and information sharing.

Procurement and Inventory Management

Oversee the procurement and inventory management of landing gear components, tools, and equipment to support maintenance activities.

Team Management and Development

Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of the landing gear maintenance team.

Safety and Environmental Management

Comply with all relevant safety and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Requirements
  1. A minimum of 8-10 years' maintenance experience in the landing gear shop, with 3 years in managing/supervising a Landing Gear Overhaul shop.
  2. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an engineering specialist field.
  3. English language proficiency.
