Job Overview

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to lead our infrastructure development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sustainable infrastructure solutions that minimize environmental impact.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.
  3. Conduct environmental assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  4. Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and other documentation related to infrastructure projects.
  5. Manage and oversee field work, including sample collection and subcontractor oversight.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  8. Provide input to CAD designers and drafters working on the same project and lower-level engineers.
  9. Communicate project information and progress to project managers and senior engineers.
  10. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with an Environmental concentration.
  2. 8 years of related work experience in mega infrastructure projects.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  4. Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
