About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT system administration and network security.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions to all technical problems.
  • They will also manage network security including maintaining firewalls, antivirus, and performing regular system audits.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the organisation's IT systems, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions to all technical problems.
  • Manage network security including maintaining firewalls, antivirus, and performing regular system audits.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to users and ensure effective use of IT resources.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex hardware or software issues.
  • Manage IT projects and initiatives, deploying new technologies to improve business operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, and configurations.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with network and computer systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks like ITIL is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
  • Have knowledge to operate and maintain ERP systems.
Desirable Attributes
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Certification in IT services, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
  • Experience managing cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and improving IT systems.
  • Adaptability to new technological trends and tools in the IT industry.
