Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Rent Collection Specialist to manage and oversee the collection of rental payments from tenants. The ideal candidate will ensure timely collections, maintain accurate records, and foster positive relationships with tenants to encourage prompt payment, utilizing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Payment Processing: Collect and process rent payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update tenant accounts accordingly within the CRM.
  3. Communication: Send reminders for upcoming payments and follow up on late payments through phone calls, emails, and letters, documenting all interactions in the CRM.
  4. Dispute Resolution: Address tenant inquiries and resolve disputes related to rent payments in a professional manner, using the CRM to track issues and outcomes.
  5. Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on collection status, outstanding balances, and tenant payment histories using data from the CRM.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding rent collection and tenant rights.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with property management and maintenance teams to address tenant issues and maintain tenant satisfaction, leveraging the CRM for effective communication.

Requirements

  1. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in debt-collection.
  2. Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in CRM software and property management tools.
  3. Problem-solving: Ability to handle disputes and resolve issues amicably.
  4. Customer Service: Commitment to providing excellent customer service to tenants.
