Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Consultant to join our team at Atmata. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for championing solution-based business development opportunities for our largest and most important customers.

In this role, you will use your creativity and expertise to transform ambiguous and complex opportunities into significant deals. You will also provide technical sales support for customers and the regional sales force, including pre and post client interaction throughout the sales process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and Deliver Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers.
  2. Meet Sales Goals: Set and achieve sales goals and quotas.
  3. Customer Assessment: Talk with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements.
  4. Sales Support: Collaborate to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  5. Order Management: Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.
  6. Product Customization: Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.
  7. Troubleshooting: Help clients solve problems with installed equipment.
  8. Product Recommendations: Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production.
  9. New Product Development: Help in researching and developing new products.
  10. Data Updates: Reporting, Forecasting and data updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Project Management: Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines.
  • Field Sales Techniques: Knowledge of effective field sales techniques.
  • Sales Experience: 2-8 years of experience in sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Product knowledge.
  • Communication Skills: Verbal communication.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Seniority:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical) is required. This is a mid-senior level position and requires full-time employment.
