About the Role

Mace Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Cost Consultancy service offer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the Head of Cost Consultancy, you will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes our proactive approach to Cost Consultancy, builds upon our existing capability, and helps establish us as a leading independent Cost Consultancy Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a large, diverse team of cost consultants, ensuring excellence in delivery against plans and championing a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Cost Consultancy
    • Provide leadership to both our clients and the in-country cost team, and be the face of Mace with all KSA clients in relation to cost consultancy.
    • Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of new cost consultancy opportunities.
    • Recruit, train, and develop highly technical people to support the goal of technical excellence.
  • Client Relationships
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and partners.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of new cost consultancy opportunities.
  • Strategic Development
    • Work closely with the Head of Cost Consultancy to agree the in-country strategic direction for cost consultancy.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve the cost consultancy service offer, including the development of new services and the enhancement of existing ones.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure that all team deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, and that best practice is implemented throughout the team.
    • Work closely with the specialist knowledge hub to ensure that we work in a smart and efficient manner.
  • Professional Development
    • Promote the RICS internally and externally, and actively encourage and support training and development of the team to reach chartered status.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve the professional development of the team, including training, mentoring, and coaching.
Requirements
  • Education
    • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
  • Experience
    • Experience with recognised international consultancy organisation.
    • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
    • Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
    • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
    • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working.
