Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cake Designer to join our team at Calo Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Cake Design and Decoration

Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, using creativity and artistic skill to create unique and visually appealing designs.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary materials to meet customer demands.

Quality Control

Ensure that all baked goods meet our high standards of quality and presentation, checking the quality of materials and condition of equipment used for cooking.

Supply Chain Management

Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately, ensuring that we have a steady supply of ingredients and materials.

Sanitation and Safety

Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals, maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bakery chef within the hospitality and catering industry.
  2. Proven experience creating customized cakes for customers.
  3. Exceptional pastry and cake decorating skills.
  4. Creativity and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge & Competency

  1. Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools and equipment.
  2. Knowledge of ingredients and their properties.
  3. Exceptional ability in kitchen management.
  4. Ability to divide responsibilities and monitor progress.
  5. Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  6. Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
  7. Excellent pastry and cake decorating skills.
  8. Artistic and creative.
