Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter (captain) to join our team at PILLARS, a large and upscale dining establishment located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Head Waiter, you will be responsible for overseeing the dining experience of our guests and leading a team of waitstaff to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise a team of waitstaff to ensure efficient and high-quality service is provided to guests.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Customer Service: Greet and seat guests, taking their orders and providing recommendations on menu items.
  • Order Management: Ensure all food and beverage orders are accurately entered and delivered to guests in a timely manner.
  • Conflict Resolution: Handle any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, working to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and supplies for the waitstaff, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Head Waiter or captain in a high-end restaurant is required.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing and menu recommendations, is required.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Language Skills: Good knowledge of English is required, with Arabic language skills being an asset.
