About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinical pathology laboratory, ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing, managing laboratory personnel and resources, and developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of laboratory professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality laboratory services
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing by monitoring and improving laboratory processes and procedures
  • Manage laboratory personnel and resources to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent)
  • Clinical pathology residency/specialization
  • Registration/license to practice medicine and clinical pathology in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Board certification in clinical pathology (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience as a consultant/specialist in clinical pathology (5+ years post-residency)
