Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager in the Delivery Department for a theme park is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale theme park projects from concept to completion. This role requires coordination across multiple departments, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality themed entertainment spaces that meet stakeholder expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of theme park construction projects, ensuring they meet all technical, operational, and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, aligning deliverables with key milestones.
  • Oversee multiple construction teams, managing subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other relevant professionals.
  • Ensure that all project phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Work with procurement teams to optimize resources, negotiate contracts, and manage suppliers.
  • Report on financial progress and forecast upcoming expenses, ensuring stakeholders are informed of potential risks or cost overruns.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders, including clients and government bodies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery, including construction delays, material shortages, and regulatory challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and legal standards, including permits and inspections.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential project disruptions.
  • Oversee and guide project managers, site supervisors, and other team members, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in area development or technical project management in the theme park or entertainment sector.
  • Proven experience in large-scale landscape design and area planning projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling tools.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience collaborating with diverse teams.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
