Deutsche Bahn AG seeks an experienced Facilities Director to lead our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office in Makkah, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule, advise clients on lifecycle management issues, and coordinate technical interfaces.

Key qualifications include a minimum of 14 years' experience in the transportation sector, with a focus on public transportation operations and facility management including asset tracking.

A strong understanding of Arabic language skills and proficiency in English is preferred. The ideal candidate will have regional and international expertise, specifically 5 years' experience in the Middle East.

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure projects, from initial planning to final delivery.

You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule
  • Advise clients on lifecycle management issues
  • Coordinate technical interfaces
  • Monitor service quality
  • Supervise operator's inventory management
  • Ensure facilities are equipped with necessary tools
  • Review and evaluate maintenance systems and infrastructure
  • Supervise facilities where buses pick up and drop off passengers
  • Monitor employee performance
  • Supervise handover of completed permanent works
  • Supervise maintenance and protection of traffic
  • Oversight of safety
  • Supervise site work and operations
  • Deliver staff training programs, including quality and maintenance training
  • Identify areas for improvement
