About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to lead our environmental, health, and safety strategies at Helmerich & Payne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to business units to develop and maintain a world-class safety culture.
  • Establish and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs that align with company expectations.
  • Partner with leadership to create and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts and manage incidents.
  • Represent the company in litigation and provide guidance to Human Resources on Worker's Compensation cases.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing safety team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive environmental health and safety experience.
  • 5+ years of HSE leadership experience.
  • Regulatory and compliance experience in the Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop, coach, and mentor complex teams.
  • Proficient in LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel proficiency.
  • Project management, root cause analysis, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Operations, or Management.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
