Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled HSE Engineer to join our team. As an HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our safety plan is in compliance with corporate policy and prevailing safety requirements for our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Report to the QHSE Manager and coordinate with other project staff members to ensure effective implementation of health and safety standards.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety standards on site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Prepare and disseminate site safety reports to the QHSE Manager, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  4. Participate in internal safety reviews and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  5. Monitor the safety performance of contractors on site, ensuring compliance with occupational health standards and the use of personal protective equipment.
  6. Recognize and report job hazards, notifying concerned personnel and/or managers of unsafe situations, practices, or conditions.
  7. Develop and deliver HSE training programs for safety staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties safely.
  8. Investigate site accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in health and safety, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  2. Saudi Nationals only.
  3. A certificate in safety (NEBOSH) or an internationally recognized safety profession is highly desirable.
