About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced ETL Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes using IBM Datastage. The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, transforming it according to business requirements, and loading it into the target database/data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Extraction and Transformation: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design ETL processes accordingly. Develop and implement ETL jobs using IBM Datastage to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the target systems.
  2. Data Quality and Integrity: Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  3. Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and ETL processes.
  4. Documentation and Optimization: Create and maintain documentation for ETL workflows, mappings, and processes. Optimize ETL jobs for performance and efficiency, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including database administrators, data analysts, and business users to meet project requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Experience: Proven experience working as an ETL Developer or Engineer, specifically with IBM DataStage.
  3. Skills: Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes. In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and SQL. Experience with data integration, data migration, and data transformation techniques.
  4. Soft Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills

The following skills are desirable but not mandatory:

  1. Certifications: Certifications related to IBM DataStage or relevant technologies.
  2. ETL Tools: Familiarity with other ETL tools and technologies.
  3. Cloud-Based Solutions: Experience with cloud-based ETL solutions.
