We are looking for a highly skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team. As a Health and Safety Professional, you will be responsible for implementing and managing occupational health and hygiene management systems in full compliance with contract requirements.
About the Role
This is a key role within our organization, requiring a strong background in industrial hygiene and a proven track record of delivering results. You will work closely with our HSE Manager to ensure that all health and safety standards are met, and that our employees are equipped to carry out their work safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Occupational Health Strategies: Develop and implement occupational health strategies to manage health hazards and risks, ensuring full compliance with contract requirements.
- Conduct Workplace Assessments: Conduct thorough workplace assessments to identify, evaluate, and control risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees to equip them to carry out their work safely, ensuring that they are aware of health hazards and risks.
- Monitor and Report on Health Performance: Monitor and report on occupational health performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Stay Informed about Industry Developments: Stay up-to-date with new developments and health issues that may be potential risks, ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of industry best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A BSc of Science or Engineering and MSc/ Diploma in Industrial Hygiene and membership with an internationally accepted applicable professional institute.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in related fields, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or equivalent qualifications.
