Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shift Leader-Steward to join our team at Marriott International. As a Shift Leader-Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, including chemicals, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Rotate stock and ensure that all cleaning supplies are readily available.
  • Complete cleaning checklists to determine the most efficient cleaning schedules.
  • Collect and transport dirty pans and utensils to the pot station for cleaning.
  • Clean and maintain sanitation areas, including the dish room, loading dock, and surrounding areas.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations, and trash compactor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
