About the Job

As an EHS Manager - Environmental Specialist, you will work closely with various departments to promote green practices and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. Your expertise in conducting high-quality inspections and audits of operational facilities will be invaluable in achieving our sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational and construction compliance with environmental procedures, and KAUST ISO14001:2015 requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date environmental compliance obligations register, identifying compliance obligation gaps, and regularly updating the compliance obligation register.
  • Lead all aspects of uptake and communication of environmental - HSE information Management System to HSE customers.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections and audits, and environmental review of Land Use Permits applications.
  • Participate in environmental risk assessment.
  • Lead tracking and reporting of contractor performance, for example environmental incidents, actions, waste generation, air emissions, risk register reviews, environmental KPIs, and training.
  • Participate in community environmental outreach activities, as well as engaging students and researchers.
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
  • At least five years of work experience in HSE management systems, with emphasis on conducting inspections and audits.
  • Experience in implementation and administration of an ISO14001 system.
  • Proficient understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Experience in applying and interpreting technical environmental procedures in highly regulated organizations is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
