Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop high-quality technical content on research programs, focusing on sustainable and critical business areas, for use in our communications channels, reports, and strategies.
  2. Conduct interviews with subject matter experts, industry leaders, and scientists to create engaging articles, newsletters, magazine content, press releases, speeches, and website content in Arabic.
  3. Collaborate with the Technology Communications function to formulate technical responses for external stakeholders, including partners, analysts, consumers, and the general public.
  4. Prepare formal Arabic responses to Ministry requests.
  5. Write and edit material for publication in our annual, bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly reports, committees, dialogues, and forums.
  6. Produce special articles on technology and research science for company periodicals and industry publications.
  7. Develop special reports and proposals for presentation by department managers or chief technologists.
  8. Investigate and implement new writing and content generation techniques and programs.
  9. Provide English and Arabic content, and edit presentations, reports, weekly highlights, proofread reports, abstracts, patents, and other technical and scientific proofs.
  10. Produce high-quality content for multiple communication channels and audiences.
  11. Develop a thorough understanding of our communications channels, needs, and the unique attributes of a research organization.
  12. Communicate with scientists, engineers, division leaders, commercial experts, and management to ensure alignment within the department and administrative area, as well as towards our business goals when communicating to various audiences and/or stakeholders.
  13. Develop communication content for stakeholder platforms and international forums related to climate change, energy, environmental stewardship, etc.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred. 10 years' experience in journalism, press, or related fields, with proven content generation in technical fields.
  2. Highest command of oral and written Arabic; proficiency in English is required.
  3. Ability to translate articles and other materials from English to Arabic and create original content in Arabic.
  4. Knowledge of our operations, policies, and challenges, with the ability to present the corporate image, would be beneficial. However, previous experience in a similar organization, with proven content generation in technical fields will also be considered.
  5. Proficiency in using print and editing software.
  6. Good team player but can also work independently.
  7. Able to write in explanatory, technical, and storytelling styles for multiple audiences.
  8. Create technical briefs and press releases.
