About the Role

The Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and processes to support Environment, Health, and Safety, Quality management, and Compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems and oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations.
    • Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for the business.
    • QMS Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems that comply with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
    • Policy and Procedure Management: Populate and maintain policies and procedures to ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Internal and External Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established QMS and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement efforts by analyzing quality data and implementing corrective actions.
    • Supplier Quality Assurance: Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
    • Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures.
    • Training and Awareness: Deliver training sessions to ensure employees are well-versed in QMS standards and procedures.
    • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
    • Write reports and present progress at project meetings to senior management.
    • Act as the top management representative with authority to ensure that a QMS system is established, implemented, and maintained within the organization.
    • Implement quality control processes to ensure consistent and high-quality production output.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to improve product design and production processes.
    • Conduct regular audits of production processes, products, and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications and report to senior management on a frequent basis.
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management
    • EHS Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant EHS regulations and standards.
    • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate potential hazards.
    • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate EHS incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
    • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular training and drills.
    • Sustainability Efforts: Promote sustainable practices within the organization to minimize environmental impact.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on EHQSC performance metrics, presenting findings to senior management.
    • Documentation Management: Ensure all EHQSC documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate EHQSC matters.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the EHQSC team, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate EHQSC standards across all operations.
    • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning process to align EHQSC objectives with organizational goals.
  • Compliance Management
    • Compliance Policy Development: Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Regulatory Monitoring: Continuously monitor regulatory changes and ensure the organization remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits to identify and address any potential compliance issues.
    • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to ensure all employees understand and adhere to compliance requirements.
    • Incident Management: Investigate compliance-related incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
    • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate communication regarding compliance matters.
