Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant to manage our financial operations. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your contributions directly impact our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records and reports to provide timely and accurate financial insights.
  2. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage customer invoicing, track payments, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Month-End Closing & Reconciliations: Execute month-end closing activities, maintain the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations.
  4. Payroll & HR Administration: Oversee payroll processing and manage related tasks to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
  5. Financial Reporting: Generate detailed financial reports—including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements—for internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic planning and monitor performance.
  7. Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian tax regulations, financial policies, and commercial laws.
  8. Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
  9. Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and collaborate with other departments to address project-based financial needs.
  10. General Ledger: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  11. Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a startup or fast-paced environment.
  3. Credentials: Qualified accountant credentials (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.) and registration with SOCPA.
  4. Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles, with a solid understanding of Profit and Loss (PNL) statements.
  5. Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software, with experience using systems such as Zoho Books preferred.
  6. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Work Environment: Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and thrive in a startup environment.
  8. Language: Fluency in both English. Arabic is a plus.
  9. Additional Skills: Having experience with muqem–muded–tamm– gosi–absher–qiwa-ajeer is a plus.
