About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our centrifugal compressor and gas turbine manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Optimization: Review and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  2. Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and ensure smooth operations.
  3. Documentation Management: Ensure that production and manufacturing teams have access to the latest versions of technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
  4. Change Management: Review and implement change management processes to ensure that obsolete drawings and specifications are withdrawn promptly and that production consistently follows the most recent revisions.
  5. Tooling and Fixtures: Support the development and optimization of tooling and fixtures to improve production efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team to identify and procure critical tooling and equipment vital for manufacturing processes.
  7. Training and Mentoring: Facilitate training and mentoring for shop floor teams to enhance their capabilities and knowledge sharing.
  8. Safety and Quality: Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) to identify potential safety hazards and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a safe work environment. Address Non-Conformance Reports (NCCs) within stipulated timelines by conducting thorough investigations and providing clear dispositions.
  9. Collaboration and Communication: Communicate optimally with diverse teams to enhance problem-solving capabilities and support the successful implementation of engineering and manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in Siemens or Datum Centrifugal compressor Gas Turbine Field Services or Assembly works.
  3. Background: Background in packaging STC Compressor trains is a significant advantage.
  4. Skills: Possess knowledge of gas turbines and/or centrifugal compressors, along with expertise in project management and assembly/manufacturing techniques. Strong communication skills with a proficient command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  5. Software: Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter & NX, other Mechanical design software applications.
