Key Responsibilities:

  2. Recipe Innovation: Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
  3. Decorative Presentation: Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and other creative techniques to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
  4. Inventory Management: Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and other essential supplies and make appropriate orders within budget.
  5. Quality Control: Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  6. Team Leadership: Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently and effectively.
  7. Staffing and Training: Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel to ensure a well-rounded team.
  8. Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements and Skills
  1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, baker, or relevant role.
  2. Great attention to detail and creativity.
  3. Organizing and leadership skills.
  4. Willingness to replenish professional knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  5. In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and baking techniques and nutrition.
  6. Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten-free, sugarless, etc.).
  7. Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field.
