Job Title: Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the National Blood and Cancer Center. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health, providing direct nursing care, and physical or psychological support when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Identify patients' care requirements, focus on their needs, and act on them to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Compassionate Environment: Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve or report on patients' needs or problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Diagnostic Checks: Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks, including monitoring pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, administering medications, and providing injections as required.
  • Documentation: Monitor and record patients' condition and document provided care services to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Medical Emergencies: Treat medical emergencies promptly and effectively, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Workload Management: Administer workloads and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Care Regulations: Follow care regulations and standards, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Teamwork: Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Experience: Proven nursing experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge, including best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Communication: Compassionate with good communication skills, able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Teamwork: Excellent teamwork skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Education: BS or diploma in nursing, with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
Experience in Assigned Areas:
  • Oncology/Hematology: Experience working in oncology or hematology, with a strong understanding of cancer care and treatment.
  • ER: Experience working in the emergency room, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage high-pressure situations.
  • Medical/Surgical Ward: Experience working in a medical or surgical ward, with a strong understanding of patient care and management.
  • ICU: Experience working in the intensive care unit, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage high-acuity patients.
  • Pediatric Ward/OPD: Experience working in a pediatric ward or outpatient department, with a strong understanding of child and adolescent care.
  • Infection Control: Experience working in infection control, with a strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices.
