About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MPD Drilling Operations Manager to join our team at NOV. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all onsite operational aspects of the MPD activities, providing senior responsibility over the MPD equipment and field personnel being utilized.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leads the team in ensuring that all MPD data presented to the customer is accurate, timely, and meets the highest service quality standards possible on the rig site.
  • Coordinates and oversees all onsite operational aspects of the project, providing senior responsibility over the MPD equipment and field personnel being utilized.
  • Provides on-site supervision of the MPD Operation, including equipment preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and Quality Control (QC), and delivery of the services to the customer.
  • Maintains that the operational activities are executed in line with the confirmed drilling program.
  • Ensures that all Q&HSE and procedural issues are followed as per the documented project requirements.
  • Actively participates in the knowledge management system within the segment, keeping up with the continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensures full compliance with NOV and customers HSE policies.
  • Supervises, coordinates, implements, monitors, evaluates, and reports daily operations, variances, and performance against the well program objectives and third-party contracts.
  • The implementation, supervision, and coordination of daily activities.
  • Plans and executes activities as they relate to Oil and Gas Drilling as part of NOV's high-performance team.
  • Safely completes projects within planning cost and time goals.
  • Oversees logistics (equipment, manpower, materials).
  • Communicates with engineering, subsurface teams, and vendors in planning and executing work.
  • Manages onsite operations safely and efficiently and leads field personnel to deliver the business objectives in full compliance.
