EMT Specialist

Job Overview:

A skilled Paramedic EMT is the junior member of a two-person ambulance crew, supporting doctors or nurse medics. As one of the first healthcare professionals to arrive at an emergency scene, duties include:

• Operating ambulances and emergency vehicles
• Maintaining vehicle and medical stock inventories
• Accurately documenting ambulance logs
• Ensuring vehicles remain clean and roadworthy
• Responding to emergency calls
• Assisting in stabilizing and assessing patients
• Providing emergency treatment, monitoring, and pain relief administration
• Dressing wounds and injuries
• Utilizing specialized equipment like AEDs and defibrillators
• Transporting patients to hospitals while continuing treatment
• Effective communication with patients and their relatives/friends
• Tutoring members of the public in first aid techniques
• Maintaining a valid driving license with no traffic violations

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized Emergency Medical Technology Paramedic Program from a local or international college/university
• Bachelor's degree in EMT-Paramedic is beneficial
• Two years of post-registration experience, including two years in an emergency room or industrial clinic
• Current SCfHS registration, MoH medical license, and home country registration/license to practice
• Valid Saudi Ambulance Driving License with no outstanding traffic offenses
• Fluent spoken and written English skills
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Saudi Heart Association (SHA), First Aid, BLS, and ACLS certifications within six months before expiry
• Valid National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) PHTLS certification within twelve months before expiry
