Job Overview

The QA & QC Corporate Manager position involves developing and overseeing quality assurance and control systems across all construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain QMS: Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with construction industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with project-specific quality requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable construction regulations.
  • Oversee QA Activities: Oversee QA activities across all construction projects, including planning, audits, and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct Project Reviews: Conduct project reviews to ensure proper implementation of quality standards and compliance with design and construction requirements.
  • Establish Inspection Programs: Establish and manage inspection and testing programs for construction materials, structural components, and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review and Approve Quality Plans: Review and approve quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
  • Ensure Local Compliance: Ensure that all construction projects comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits, inspections, and certification processes.
  • Lead Investigations: Lead investigations into construction defects or quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record in managing QA/QC on large-scale construction projects, such as infrastructure, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ACI).
  • Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
  • Knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM tools).
  • Proficiency in quality software and reporting tools (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
