About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue, adoption, and growth from large and fast-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and other AWS teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet customer business needs and accelerate the adoption of AWS technology.
  • Help shape and design solutions covering a range of domains, including migration of core enterprise applications, data analytics, and AI/ML.
  • Develop industry-relevant architectures and convey business value to customers.
  • Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide trusted technical advice.
  • Act as an evangelist in the wider community, educating and sharing best practices through presentations, writing, and workshops.
  • Contribute to the direction of our products and services by gathering feedback from customers and collaborating with engineering and service teams.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in technology architecture, consulting, cloud architecture, technical lead, software development, engineering lead, sales engineer, pre-sales engineer, or systems engineering.
  • Experience and/or deeper understanding in one or more technology areas, including software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data & analytics.
  • Ability to create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
  • Understanding and ability to articulate common architectural patterns and design principles.
  • Leadership skills to take the lead on complex technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in creating technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.
  • Professional experience in architecting, migrating, or transforming customer requirements to the cloud.
  • One or more AWS certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking and/or publications.
