Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Flight Specialist to perform flight tests of the CH47F aircraft, ensuring its airworthiness following maintenance or modifications.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Airframe Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of the aircraft's performance and handling after maintenance or modifications.
  2. Certification and Compliance: Determine the airworthiness of the aircraft prior to release for flight, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  3. Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Perform troubleshooting procedures on the ground and during flight, providing written instructions or verbal feedback to correct deficiencies.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Verify forms and records used in maintenance to ensure they comply with work performed before ground or flight checks.
  5. Operational Support: Run-up aircraft for alert status, launch and recover host nation flights, and deploy in-country as required to support contract needs.
  6. Meteorological Planning: Interpret meteorological data to file a flight plan for navigational courses and document flight plans using authorized processes.
  7. Weight and Balance Calculations: Compute and annotate weight and balance logs for the aircraft.
  8. Leadership and Safety Management: Retain authority to select goals and objectives within duties and responsibilities, and direct interface with key stakeholders while ensuring flight safety, crew member currency, and disposition of final MTF status.
Requirements:
  • At least 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time, including at least 300 hours in the same aircraft type (CH-47F).
  • Experience in CH-47 phase or RESET management.
  • Graduate of a US Military aviation maintenance test pilot course or civilian equivalent training and experience.
  • Demonstrated past performance and experience in maintenance on CH-47 aircraft.
  • Proficient in computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet Class II Flight Physical requirements.
  • US citizenship is required.
