We are seeking an experienced Sustainability and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Rotana Hotels. As a key member of our EHS department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sustainable practices across all departments to minimize the company's environmental footprint
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate them
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence
  4. Provide training to employees on safety procedures, best practices, and sustainability initiatives
  5. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure compliance through implementation of effective management systems
  6. Collaborate with management to drive a culture of sustainability, safety, and environmental awareness within the organization

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field
  2. Certification in EHS management is highly desirable
  3. Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs, with a focus on sustainability and compliance
  4. Strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulations
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  6. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to address safety concerns and provide practical solutions
