At Amazon, we're looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our AWS Infrastructure Services team as an Infrastructure Lead. This role will be responsible for deploying solutions for complex build and operations-related issues within the Data Center Engineering Operation (DCEO) domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the definition of processes and policies for emergency and standard requirements, communicating the contexts in which rules, processes, and policies are applied.
  • Inspect and validate requirements and deliverables that describe build and service(s).
  • Contribute to design and construction during the building phase, providing feedback from operations.
  • Develop user documentation and training materials.
  • Test new builds or services under the process, including post-test script review (user acceptance testing), evaluating accuracy and usability.
  • Orientate users on deviations or changes to rules, processes, and policies.
  • Function as the escalation point for all operations-related issues.
  • Analyze Ops metrics and establish procedures to maintain them on track.
  • Aid in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Support regular operations teams with technical reviews and support in COE preparation for faulty scenarios.
  • Rectify major technical changes by collaborating with Design & Field Engineering.
  • Promote new product implementation through game days and provide cluster-wide training.
  • Assist in projects for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Own cluster-wide availability goals like MOT, LLT, and LSE drill compliance.
  • Represent India at global forums.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seasoned expert with 10+ years' experience in comprehensive life-cycle management of critical infrastructure, including data centers, power substations, airports, and healthcare facilities.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems (including SLD design, power distribution, UPS, DRUPS, PDU, ATS, and SCADA) and mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation).
  • Demonstrates skill in operational management across change, incident, problem, vendor, risk, and asset management domains, while maintaining strong focus on energy efficiency (PUE) and business continuity planning (BCP).
  • Proven track record in maintenance planning, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement through PDCA methodology, consistently delivering operational excellence in mission-critical environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A highly accomplished professional with a Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering, backed by over 15 years of extensive design experience in power generation and distribution systems.
  • Demonstrates expertise in construction, operation, and maintenance of generation plants and substations, complemented by a solid foundation in mechanical equipment and system design principles.
  • Proven track record in managing fast-track design/build projects and major facility upgrades, with particular emphasis on large-scale utility plant design. Known for maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Consistently upholds high standards, demonstrating thorough attention to detail, and fostering open communication to facilitate successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
