The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001/45001 regulations and be able to design and enforce EHS policies that align with these standards.
The EHS Specialist will conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance. They will also manage permits, reporting, and interactions with regulatory agencies during inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Compliance:
- Design and enforce EHS policies in alignment with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001, and local regulations.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Manage permits, reporting, and interactions with regulatory agencies during inspections.
- Incident Management & Training:
- Lead investigations into incidents, near-misses, and environmental spills; implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs (e.g., hazardous materials, emergency response).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar.
- Experience: 3-5 years in EHS, preferably in manufacturing, construction.
