Accountant Job Description

Magrabi Hospitals & Centers seeks a skilled Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks for the accounting department under the Chief of Accounts/Accounting Manager's direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare statements using the Hospital/Center accounting system.
  • Review credit/cash receipts and monitor data entry to avoid mistakes related to Insurance Companies.
  • Perform daily GL entry between branches and other related tasks.
Accounting Tasks:
  • Prepare all required GL entries related to bank deposits/withdrawals and other modules.
  • Process cancellations and refunds of cash/credit invoices after securing approvals.
  • Review payroll entries done by the HR Department and ensure supporting documents and approvals are provided.
  • Receive and review invoices related to fixed assets and process entry of assets to the fixed assets module.
  • Process monthly GL entries of fixed assets depreciation.
Warehouse/Stores Transactions:
  • Review purchasing orders, vouchers, and reconcile with store notes.
  • Review returned vouchers and journals.
  • Follow up on transaction differences by coordinating with the storekeeper and payable accountant.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum two years' experience in accounting work.
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Payroll.
  • Current knowledge of accounting procedures and systems.
  • Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of cash management, banking, and treasury functions.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet software.
  • Good communication skills in both oral and written English.
