Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer (Buildings) to join our team at WSP Global Inc. As a key member of our Buildings Division, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating project teams, ensuring proactive project planning, stakeholder relations, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder relations, and risk management takes place across projects.
  • Schedule Management: Prepare and update the Programme-wide enterprise schedules of all running & future projects in Primavera P6 Professional or Enterprise.
  • Baseline and Recovery Planning: Create and review baselines, recovery/revised and updated periodic schedules.
  • Reporting and Communication: Review Project Managers/Resident Engineer's weekly reports and provide Schedule inputs as required.
  • Contractor Management: Incorporate additional works into Schedules as required and update / maintain additional works logs.
  • Resource Allocation: Regularly review resource usage against the schedule and recommend/take corrective action where required.
  • Issue Management: Establish Issue Register and follow-up issue's impacting the project's schedule.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed and executive summary reports for higher management.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor and analyze progress & efficiency of the project and report to supervisors and managers.
  • Database Management: Maintain a database of projects progress.
  • Claims Management: Assist in the review and preparation of documents to support claims management and in particular extensions of time.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Present on all the above to Clients and internal managers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years experience in a similar role.
  • Project Experience: Previous experience in mosque/buildings projects.
