About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation & control installations on our pipeline projects meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical and I&C installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of electrical and I&C systems, including but not limited to, loop checks, function tests, and system performance verification.
  • Document and report any non-conformances or defects and follow up on corrective actions.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Review and verify material and equipment certifications, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct routine audits of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality plans and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, reports, and logs.
Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety meetings and provide input on safety issues related to electrical and I&C work.
  • Verify that all electrical and I&C installations comply with national and international codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and I&C inspection, preferably within the pipeline or oil & gas industry.
  • Proven experience with pipeline project standards and practices.
