King Salman International Airport Development Company seeks an experienced Chief Data Officer to lead its data management efforts and drive business growth through data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, data quality, and data privacy, with experience in developing and implementing data management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to establish a comprehensive data management strategy, ensuring data quality, privacy, and security across the organization.
  • Drive Data Governance: Define and drive data governance, data quality, and data privacy frameworks to ensure consistent and high-quality data management practices.
  • Advise Senior Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on data-related issues, including data strategy, architecture, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Data Governance & Compliance:
  • Establish Data Governance Policies: Develop and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data consistency, security, and compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Data Governance Tools: Oversee the development of data governance tools, processes, and metrics for measuring data quality and performance.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and help develop the company's data risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with IT: Work closely with the IT department to define and manage the organization's data architecture, infrastructure, and tools, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with Business Units: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to understand data needs, resolve issues, and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate Data Training: Facilitate data-related training and awareness across the organization.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
  • Ensure Data Availability: Ensure the availability of clean, reliable, and accessible data for analytical and reporting purposes, driving data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor Data Initiatives: Monitor and report on the status of key data initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of emerging data management trends, technologies, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for adoption within the organization.
  • Evaluate New Technologies: Evaluate and implement new data technologies and methodologies to improve data quality, management, and insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, IT strategy, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Proven experience in building and managing data governance frameworks and teams, experience with data architectures such as data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms, strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations, strong leadership and communication skills, deep knowledge of data management tools and technologies.
