Areeb requires a skilled MWD Tool Technician to perform field jobs for NOV Downhole tools as part of customer's drilling and intervention operations in drilling rigs / sites.

Job Description:

  • Participate in pre-job meetings / discussions within the team or with the client for job planning.
  • Provide regular updates to the office on the job progress for the complete job duration.
  • Maintain and transport NOV tools to / from the BHA.
  • Conduct surface function tests for the tools before running in hole.
  • Manage and regulate the run parameters within the recommended ranges.
  • Enhance the runs results.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the run.
  • Collect and document the run field data after completing the runs.
  • Prepare and submit a comprehensive post-job report covering all run details.
  • Update the run tracking sheets.

Behavioral Skills / Competencies & Required:

  • Minimum two years of experience in Drilling and Intervention Operations (Oil & Gas) with exposure to MWD Tools.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferable and should be in Petroleum / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • Medium-Advanced English language level.
  • Capable to work for extended time during the operation.
  • Able to work on non-standard work schedules including night shifts and overstays.
  • Ready to cover callout / short notice field visits.
  • Strong technical presentation / technical discussion skills.
  • Technical report writing.
