Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our team at Al Rashid Trading & Contracting Company. As a key member of our infrastructure project team, you will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating with clients and stakeholders, and advising the project management team on contractual matters.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Management: Study project main contract documents, including Contract Conditions and schedules, IFC drawings, and project specifications to understand the scope of works and the Contractor's obligations stipulated in the Contract.
  2. Contractual Correspondence: Prepare contractual letters and notices to the Engineer/Employer for project matters in compliance with the provisions of the contract.
  3. Change Orders: Manage change orders by studying causes of change technically and financially, pricing the new works, and following through to ensure that contractual provisions are implemented.
  4. Cost and Time Claims: Prepare cost and time claim documents and fully understand the concept of time impact analysis on the project baseline schedule.
  5. Contractual Issues: Identify contractual issues and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution, following up on issues demanding management attention to ensure a timely response to the Engineer/Employer.
  6. Drafting Contracts: Draft contracts for engineering services projects, relying heavily on previous contracts as a resource for terms and conditions.
  7. Other Responsibilities: Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, negotiation, or contractual affairs.
  • Knowledge of all major forms of contract (Governmental Constructions Contract and FIDIC).
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, effectively communicating in both spoken and written skills regarding contract issues.
  • Knowledge of basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
