Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Room Coordinator to join our team at Raffles Hotel Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. As a Room Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences by managing room assignments, coordinating with various departments, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

  • Optimize room inventory and allocate available spaces efficiently
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk teams to prepare rooms for guest arrival
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements promptly and professionally
  • Utilize scheduling software to manage room bookings and resolve any conflicts
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, occupancy rates, and guest preferences
  • Assist in creating and updating room assignment charts and floor plans
  • Collaborate with sales and events teams to accommodate group bookings and special events
  • Monitor and report on room revenue and occupancy statistics
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols in all assigned areas
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality or administrative role
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and current trends (preferred)
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
